Dolphins
Posted by admin on August 9th, 2009 filed in Sea CreaturesCan u imagine that dolphins in seventeen genera have almost forty species!!! Amazing right? Wikipedia cited that they vary in sizes from 1.2 m (4 ft.) and 10 kg (90 lb) (Maui’s Dolphin) up to 9.5 m (30 ft) and 10 tones (9.8 LT; 11 ST) (the Orca or Killer Whale). Dolphins’ attitudes are seemingly playful and they’ve been considered amongst animals the most intelligent.

The name dolphin originated from Ancient Greek relating to “womb”. Fish with a womb is how dolphins’ name is interpreted. Read more articles about dolphins.
